FOOD ALLERGY ASSOCIATION OF WISCONSIN, INC.
The Food Allergy Association of Wisconsin, Southeast Wisconsin Chapter was first formed
in November 2010 and officially became a chapter of the Food Allergy Association of
Wisconsin in April 2011. The volunteer group is made up of families who are living
with severe and life threatening food allergies. We hope to connect families and adults
living with food allergies in Southeast Wisconsin, raise awareness and provide support
and educational resources for parents, caregivers, peers and educators about safely caring for children with food allergies.

What are the Symptoms of Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis?
Symptoms can include:
- a tingling sensation in the mouth
- swelling of the tongue and throat
- rash
- eczema
- hives and swelling
- vomiting
- abdominal cramps
- diarrhea
- difficulty breathing
- drop in blood pressure
- loss of consciousness
- and (very rarely) death

Speakers Bureau Committee
This committee aims to address the growing concerns of safe management of food allergies in our schools. This committee prepares educational seminars to support teachers and other staff in learning how to prevent food allergy reactions, and recognize and treat them should they occur.
