About Us
The support group is made up of over 350 local families who are all dealing with severe and life threatening food allergies. Dr. Michael Ritter and Dr. Neal Jain are the Medical Advisors for the group. We meet every third Tuesday of the month during the school year to discuss different topics related to food allergies. Some recent topics have been everything from new products and label reading, to the latest research and treatments.
By joining the Food Allergy Association of WI (Support Group) you will be gaining a wealth of information from people who have been there and are also dealing with the day to day struggles you may be facing.
"We pick up where the doctor leaves off".
Some other benefits are a playgroup during the summer months, and a buddy list where we will match up a newcomer with another family.
The support group meetings are free, but donations are welcome to cover copying and material costs.
The Food Allergy Association of WI Mission is...to provide a supportive group environment for a adults, teens and parents of children with food allergies...to raise awareness about the prevalence & severity of food allergies and the challenges of raising a child with food allergies, and...to inform and educate parents, caregivers, peers, and educators about safely caring for children with food allergies.
